Retinal Scan

With our Kowa Fundus cameras we are able to obtain a scan of your retina (the back of your eye), where many signs of ocular disease can be seen. These images allow us to make a diagnosis based on a single scan, as well as monitor conditions over time. Because they provide a better view of the retina than with conventional methods, many of our patients do not need to be dilated.

OCT

Our OCT (Optical Coherence Tomographer) scans the retina, retina nerve fiber, and cornea. It uses a non-invasive technique that renders cross section and topographical images. OCT can be used to obtain a baseline for risk factors and when an ocular condition is identified, it is a powerful tool for further diagnosis.

Fields Analyze

Fields Analyzer

The Humphrey Fields Analyzer is an important tool for disease diagnosis and management. It provides fast and accurate measurements of visual fields (peripheral vision), which allow us to track disease progression and determine when to respond with appropriate interventions.

Macula Risk Macula Risk Testing

In partnership with Arctic Medical Laboratories, we offer Macula Risk and Vita Risk pharmacogenetic testing. Macula Risk testing is generally recommended if you have signs of Macular Degeneration, and will tell you both your risk of disease progression and genetics-based vitamin recommendation. Vita Risk testing is available for patients who have a family history or concern about Macular Degeneration and want to know their genetics-based vitamin recommendation for preventative care. Both tests involve a simple in-office cheek swab. More information can be found at www.macularisk.com.
